It takes years of teamwork and commitment to be awarded NOSA's highest accolade in safety, health
and environmental (SHE) risk management. Moreover, winning a NOSCAR is a tribute to all, from
management level to workers.
Eligible companies must score 95 per cent or more for effort measured during a NOSA Grading Audit,
record a Disabling Incident Frequency Rating of less than .8, and must be a winner of any of the
categories in the NOSA regional competitions.
However, should a company slip below the required criteria, the company forfeits its NOSCAR and it
can take three years or more to regain NOSCAR eligibility and status.
